Senor Frog's celebrates 16 years in Cancun
On Saturday, February 26, Senor Frog's Cancún celebrated 16 successful years of operation with a full-house Pajama Party, including contests, pillow fights and nonstop live entertainment.
Cancún, Quintana Roo - As proof that its ongoing 16-year party will not come to an end any time soon, Senor Frog's hosted a Pajama Party in celebration of its anniversary on Saturday, February 26. The festivities officially began at 9 p.m., but the crowd had formed well before that time.
Tourists and locals were invited to attend this theme party, where employees dressed in pajamas and guests were given pillows and encouraged to start pillow fights. Before the end of the night, many guests and Mandiles (floor managers) ended up going for a swim in the giant beer pool.
Cancún's original Senor Frog's location opened in 1989 at Blvd. Kukulcan Km. 5.5, which is where El Shrimp Bucket is located today. Senor Frog's moved to its current location at Blvd. Kukulcan Km. 9.5 in 1993.
Senor Frog's is a Cancún landmark, where tourists and locals gather and become part of the "anything goes" attitude of the restaurant. With nonstop activities and live musical entertainment seven nights a week, guests immediately become a part of party scene, where spontaneous behavior and participation are strongly encouraged. Senor Frog's has hosted other theme parties in the past, including toga, Mardi Gras and Circus parties.
Senor Frog's is owned and operated by Grupo Anderson's, Mexico's largest and most recognized restaurant company, which owns restaurants throughout Cancún, including Carlos 'n Charlie's, El Shrimp Bucket, Mama Roma, Come 'n Eat and El Tumbaburros. The Senor Frog's concept has spread into South America and the Western Caribbean and will be making its debut in the United States this year with openings in Myrtle Beach, Honolulu and Las Vegas.
